ALMOST BLUE Italian film-can anyone offer opinions on this DVD??

From Xploited Cinema
"A very dark and violent film much in the same vein as MANHUNTER, this 2000 Italian film is quickly gaining a legendary cult status. Directed by Alex Infascelli, ALMOST BLUE tells the story of a serial killer on the loose in Bologna. The movie centers on the psychological game played out between the police inspector, the serial killer and a young blind man. This film isn't all psychological though as there are numerous disturbing scenes that effectively capture the serial killers thoughts and actions. ALMOST BLUE is certainly one of Italy's better thrillers in the past 10 years."

Sounds very interesting... but I would like some opinions on it from people who have actually seen it....

...disc arrived this morning... haven't had time to watch the movie, but checked the DVD:
- feature = anamorphic 2.35:1 (fine-looking transfer!) / 86 minutes
- sound = DD 5.1
- 24 chapters
- optional English subtitles, as well as sottotitoli per non udenti (=captions)
NOTE: English subs have to be called off using the remote (they are NOT mentioned anywhere in the disc's Menu!)
- 5-minute "Making Of..." (full-screen, Italian only, no subs)
- Theatrical Trailer (Italian only)
- Cast & Director bios
- PAL/Region0
- black mdv packaging keepcase (resembles Alpha case)
- official website: www.almostblue.it

...yeah... what can I say?... as far as it being a "cult" movie... well... ahmm... (thinks... cult - schmult...)... it ain't bad, certainly... it ain't particularly good neither (nor is it particularly terribly gory)... it's very 'flash' (director comes from music clips business)... it most definitely is not "Se7en"... nice try though, but only a small, thin seegar... jeez... sorry!... my well-meant advise: if you can, rent or borrow rather than buy... yeah... guess that's it... mind you, that's just MNSHO, of course! YMMV... again, sorry!...

(otoh, this http://www.veoveo.es/docs/detalle.asp?d=6542 is a very good movie - IMNSHO, as usual...)
