Hmmm, I wonder how long it will take for the entire season to get released. At least they're providing extras, so I'm looking forward to picking this up. Thanks for the info!

The extras are indeed good news... let's hope the rest are released soon, before the French ones, perhaps, so we won't be tempted into buying doubles again...

The rest of Season 1 will be coming out... July 22nd!

Amazon is showing the list price as £19.99 for Episodes 9-15, but only £14.99 for Episodes 16-22. Their prices are £18.99 and £13.99.

Blackstar has them for £16.99 each, both with a list price of £19.99.

I'm SO glad they're releasing the rest of Season 1 so quickly!

I haven't heard anything about a boxed set, but maybe they'll release one later.

BTW, Amazon has fixed their price goof on Volume 3; it's now up to £18.99, same as Volume 2. I'm glad I already put in my pre-order when it was still only £13.99.

awww...you suck!

Is there a retailer that might have these cheaper?

Are there any extras on the other two parts of the season?

Blackstar has them for £16.99 each.

Even better, BensonsWorld has them for £15.99 each, with FREE shipping.

I don't know if the other two volumes have any extras. I hope they do!

Anyone know if this is being released in Australia anytime soon???

$80 is a little steep for the whole season.

Should I wait?

Are there ever any coupons?

I just got mine today! I LOVE IT!!

Each episode has five chapter stops. There's also 8 minutes of interviews with the cast, interspersed with scenes from various episodes. There are biographies of Eric McCormack, Debra Messing and James Burrows, and a 2½-minute animated photo gallery, which consists of 30 promotional-type photos of the cast.

Oh, and you asked before if there would be a box set of the entire season. In with my DVD was a form you can send in for a chance to win the entire first season on VHS or DVD. They have pictures of both sets, with the 6 VHS and 3 DVD volumes each in a lovely box. So it looks like there will be a box set down the road?

I'm SO glad to finally get this; now I can't wait for the remaining volumes, and more seasons!!

Rob...yer killin me!!! Stop it! You're gonna make me run out and buy a Malata now!

Where did you get yours from?

Any good prices on this?

I think I'm gonna wait for the boxed set...but....grrrrrrrrrrrr

Does it say anything about a release date for the boxed set?

Hey, you asked!

I bought mine at BensonsWorld for £15.99, with free shipping; the charge came to $23.49 US. Amazon has it for the same price, and even though they charge for shipping, they deduct the VAT, and with a current £3 off £15 coupon they have (BYPK-A4H7-E3P5), the total comes to only £13.69, which is about $20 US.

The insert I mentioned doesn't say anything about a release date for a boxed set, but FWIW, the deadline for sending in entries to win one is September 30th.

Sorry for being a newbie...but would it make sense to wait for the boxed set...other than getting the "box" is there a reason to wait?

Is it usually cheaper?

Yup, in my experience, the box sets are usually cheaper.

For instance, back in April, I bought a 3-DVD set of The West Wing, which consists of the first 11 episodes of Season 1. Coming in July is another 3-DVD set, with the remaining 11 episodes. But there's also a full-season box set coming out the same day, which is cheaper than the two individual sets, by about $10-15.

My partner is the one who wanted that set (although since we've started watching it, having never seen the show before, I'm really getting hooked on it too), and I told him about the Season 1 box set, and asked him if they release another 'partial season set' for Season 2, should we buy it, or wait for a box set of the entire season. He said he'd rather buy the sets as they come out, even if they wind up costing a little more. Like me, he's definitely into "instant gratification". I'd rather pay a little more than have to wait for the DVDs.

Rob

Rob...

Thanks for all of your info

I guess I'll just wait it out at this point. I have all 4 seasons on SVHS anyway...so i guess i can wait a little longer

And come on now...partner? He's your boyfriend or your husband....sheesh! I hate that term.

Looks like the Season 1 boxed set will be out November 11th.

BensonsWorld has it for £26.95, with free airmail shipping.

What a great price! It almost makes me wish I'd waited. Almost.

Yeah great...just ordered...it comes out TODAY...and look what i see on DVDfile today...

"While it's not much of a surprise that one of NBC's Thursday night comedy anchors Will & Grace is finally coming to DVD next year, it is surprise who will be releasing. Video Business is reporting that Lion's Gate Home Entertainment has picked up the DVD rights to the smash comedy for release starting in 2003. No details have yet been announced how how the show will be released or in what format, but stay tuned!"

Seems like every reason I got the Malata for is going down the drain.

UK R2 box set has been pulled from the schedule. No reason given. R2 season 2 is apparently scheduled for Feb next year.
