Why can't this be the DVD for Ring that has english subtitles instead of the R2 version. This one looks so sweet. The menus are in english - I don't get it. Anyone have this one?

Thats the Korean R3 right? We might be in luck. Australia R4 is releasing Ring if I am correct. Maybe their transfer will be the same and not use the one Tartan did. They would have subtitles for sure. I'm satisfied with he Tartan release though.

This doesn't have English subs, nor does the Korean release of the Japanese one.

yup - korean R3... it's 16x9, 5.1 and has a few goodies also. It's supposed to kick the Tartan release's ass. I might just get it anyway subtitles or not... I pretty much know what they say anyway.

dude that sucks! i own tartan's ring 1 and ring 2.

the link above to korean one looks way better than the tartan already. at least they spent time on menus... which tartan seems to not do. haha

Who cares about menus? Tartan's release is anamorphic, in it's orignal language, and with English subs... funny how that's still not good enough for some people.

Does anybody know how the Danish R2 version compares to the UK R2 ?
Does it have danish subs burned in or an option of subs ?
