The Films of Hirokazu KORE-EDA

I am a huge fan of Kore-eda and have the R1 DVD's of Maborosi (Maboroshi no hikari) and After Life (Wandafuru raifu). However, the transfers aren't that great and the aspect ratio's are incorrect - i think. For example, the Japanese trailer for After Life (on disc extra) is framed at a wider aspect ratio and has better clarity and definition than the film itself. I was wondering if anyone knows of alternate transfers that are of higher quality? Anamorphic a plus.

Thank you in advance.

The R1's are the only DVDs available.
