I think that's pretty much the case... I don't think they care quite as much as we the audience cares.

Whatever Miramax says doesnt fix the fact that Disney doesnt want fans to buy the uncut version of movies. And nothing that was said justifies releasing a movie with a english dub ony.

Sorry Miramax, you still suck.

Keep up the good work Matt

I'm glad to see the petition is getting some recognition, even though Disney chooses to ignore our requests.

”Some of the changes were to update the film, some to streamline the film and some to clarify the narrative,”

”It was never to sanitize the project.”

Well, people of Miramax, this IS americanizing and changing the films! If you didn't like the way the movie was made in the first place, why buy the license?

How can movie people be so dense?

They are smart... that's the problem.

How to make stinking rich pile of dirty money:

Phase 1: Become a Hollywood Studio Executive and go to Hong Kong and flash some cash in front of ignorant (yet brilliant and well respected) Hong Kong movie producer or director or star and promise to someday bring him to Hollywood to make him big star!

Phase 2: watch as Hong Kong producer or director or actor talks to distributor on your behalf and convinces them to hand over the finished movie along with all distribution rights to said movie, then turn around and bend over and touch their toes.

Phase 3: Laugh as you fly back to America holding the rights to a Hong Kong film that were obtained for pennies.

Phase 4: change the silly name of stupid Hong Kong movie to something flashier (eg. Shaolin Soccer becomes Kung-Fu Soccer. Brilliant! Legend of Zu becomes Zu Warriors. Marvelous! Armor of God becomes Operation Condor 2 and Armor of God 2 becomes Operation Condor. )

Phase 5: Throw away silly soundtrack that sounds like Jawas from Star Wars and replace with cheap american or brittish voice actors who will work for a free meal.

Phase 6: Clean up print by dipping it in the toilet

Phase 7: Cut out scenes that you as an American Hollywood Studio Executive don't understand or that don't have enough pretty colors moving around or that have anything negative to say about America

Phase 8: Cut a promo spot that starts with "In a world..." and make the movie look exciting... don't forget to mention the Matrix or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Phase 9: Sit on your gold-plated bed and look at youself smiling in the mirror as your naked college intern secretary (formerly of Girls Gone Wild) simultaneously gives you a foot massage and a lapdance while your other naked college intern secretary counts your money outloud

Phase 10: Lather, rinse, repeat... until you die and go to hell.

If Hong Kong producer/director/actor calls you wondering when he can work in Hollywood, call your friend Jean Claude Van Damme and tell him you've got another project for him... If Van Damme happens to be in a drug-induced coma this week, call Steven Segal or Wesley Snipes.

The petition is doing good, better than i personally expected. Hopefully it can get 10,000 sigs.

3,614 people is good, we are starting to get into some higher $$ numbers when it comes to a boycott. Assumuing the average signer would buy 3 moves at $20 a piece.

3,614 x 60 = $216,840 Not bad. But 10,000 would up that to $600,000.

Since Disney only speaks money i figure that last figure would set off a warning to them.

Also...bump
