Eternal Evil of Asia...
It was supposed to be in my next shipment from DDDHouse, but Johnny noticed it was loose in the case and I asked him to open it and he said it was badly scratched. So I had to pick another DVD. Anyway - what am I missing? Is this a great flick? Should I try to pick it up somewhere else? I mean - I was getting it for 50 HKD, so I hope I can find it cheap somewhere if it's worth picking up. I understand there's nudity and sex and violence and gore and horror, but is it good?

This movie is dreadfully bad, I would skip it if I were you. The picture is about as good as a VHS copy maybe even poorer. If you have not seen Ringo Lam's Victim that is pretty cool flick. I only mention that because I just saw it and was pretty impressed.
But EEOA I would steer clear the violence and nudity aren't even that good either for curiosity factor.

I think Eternal Evil of Asia is a helluva lot of fun, in a 'Story of Ricky' sort of way. As far as picture quality goes, it's not as bad as Mei Ah's disc of 'The Mission', but then again, what is? Anyhow, here is a review over at Teleport City that I pretty much agree with: http://www.teleport-city.com/movies/...rror/evil.html
Take a look around at sites like the Asian DVD Guide, and newsgroups like alt.asian-movies. I think you'll find the consensus on Eternal Evil of Asia to be "bad, but enjoyable."

DVDshelf.com has Eternal Evil of Asia for $54 HK.
I recently recieved my first order from them (Avalon, Fulltime Killer, Shaolin Soccer), and they did a good job. I had my discs whithin 10 days of ordering.
