Glad I caught ya. I just replied in another thread about finding Legend of Zu. Just buy from Ebay and you won't have to wait a week!

Here's a link to a U.S. seller ending in 1 day (still under 20.00 and brand new)
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1516495048

Here's a link to a honk kong seller dutch auction. (you will only pay 17.99 + 8.00 shipping)
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1515477784

I was wondering, in the pic he shows an open copy, is that a special limited edition or do all of the Legend of Zu copies look like that inside?

Re: Me laytest odor...

-Nightmares In Precinct 7 - no clue, but it looks dopey... let us know
-Battle Royale - 10/10 I loved it!
-Zu : Warriors From The Magic Mountain - 8/10 total classic
-Uzumaki - ordered it myself
-Blacksheep Affair, The - boring... I couldn't finish it - maybe it gets better
-Taxi - Good, I think I did a review somewhere. You should've gotten 2 as well.
-Enter the Eagle - no clue
-Runaway - no clue
-Iceman Cometh - no clue
-Ungrateful Tink - no clue
-La Brassiere - looks awesome, in my last order... first on my list to watch
-Ebola Syndrome - very curious about this one, post a review
-Crying Freeman - kinda cheesey and kinda cool... I bought the french 2 disc and it's a great presentation... I have yet to finish the film, but so far it's aaight.

Iceman Cometh -- Yuen Biao & Maggie Cheung how can this be bad? This movie sounds very promising.

Hell no, that looks neatO, but all that nifty packaging doesn't matter if they still haven't fixed the subtitles on the beginning of the movie.

That's a nice odor you got there, I second Trigger's recommendation on Taxi, pick up the second one, and while you're at it, go for YAMAKASI! Make sure your version of Taxi is the uncut one... I think R3

Zero I was looking at the auction again and I think that Honk Kong seller has a limited edition collectors edition. It looks nice inside and if I bought Legend of Zu I would probably want to get that one. 17.99 + 8.00 = 25.99 for a nice collectors DVD. Only bad thing, 2 weeks waiting.

I only got the single disc... But I agree after watching it. "kinda cheesy, kinda cool."

Gabe

after you guys see La Brassiere, you must contribute to the Rosemary thread in the Asian DVD Guide General forum! It's by far the biggest thread of all time there and covers not only Rosemary (one of the many good-looking gals in the movie) but just about every other good-looking girl in the HK movie scene. A horny and ogler guy's thread!

I hope that wasn't any of you guys that hiked that first eBay auction up to $38, and that's not even the special edition. YOu could have bought 3 of those suckas..

Seems we can't buy any now... asiandiscs.com emailed me yesterday to tell me, that no, they can't get any more Legend of Zu discs because of the "freeze" in effect...

Well, I suppose I'll just wait until the freeze is over to get it... (hopefully).

Cheers,
Gabe

You might be SOL on this one... I'd keep looking until you find it if you really want it. I don't think they'll unfreeze this one since Miramax is coming out with it in the US all re-edited and such. Try sensasian or yesasia or dvdshelf or whatever... just keep looking. good luck.

Well, I found Legend of Zu for sale at another place... (four letter name). I won't actually say the name on the board for fear of jinxing myself. (And no, it wan't the popular auction site)

E*ay will be my backup plan if this falls thru...

Cheers,
Gabe

Woohoo! Received my E*bay purchase of Legend of Zu special ed. in the mail Friday!
Have to sit down and watch it now...

Off my list at the top, I've now watched:

La Brassiere
Uzumaki
Taxi
Enter the Eagles
The Blacksheep Affair
Also watched Running Out of Time 2 this morning... (different shipment)

I think I've commented on the first two in some of Trigger's threads... if anyone would like to hear about the last 3, just ask...

Cheers,
Gabe

Interested to hear your thoughts on these... I've seen most of Blacksheep Affair (twice... have yet to watch the last half) and I haven't seen ROOT2. I'm placing an order with that film in it soon.

Glad to see you got Legend of Zu. Let us know what you think.

Odor indeed! ENTER THE EAGLES is a ripe, steaming pile. Outrageously cliched, over-the-top, and silly. Bruce must be turning in his grave with shame at the stiff, incompetent offspring he sired.

Posted my thoughts of Ebola Syndrome over here.

My apologies on not putting up any comments on the others yet. I've been car-shopping the last two weeks. Done now though.

In a day or two, I hope to have comments up for:
Blacksheep Affair
ROOT2
Enter the Eagles (I liked it, ) I will agree about overly-cliched though...
Runaway

Cheers,
Gabe
