I realised earlier today when trying to place an order: I couldn't believe it. It's becoming so costly now...
I think for the 'Rest of the World' category, now there is a £2.09 per order fixed charge (plus £1.49 per DVD). For North America there is a less painful £0.99 per DVD charge (plus the fixed £2.09).
They still are only one of the few companies to take VAT off, but with these steep shipping it doesn't help much!
(eg HMV takes VAT off. Blackstar, Bensonsworld don't.)

I recently placed an order with them, in which one item was backordered 3-5 weeks. I used the default of "wait until all items ready to ship" to save on shipping. The next day, they sent me an e-mail telling me that they were shipping everything else to me and they'd send the last item later, no charge. I was happy, but I'd rather have them wait if they could avoid wasting money and not raise shipping charges!
