Does anyone have any more info on Columbia/Tristar's Destinations line. The only other one I've heard of is the upcoming Drunken Master. Is there a tentative list of planned Destination titles?

I think I'll be sticking with my Korean SE. Aside from a very disappointing cover, the actual features and specs don't warrant a re-purchase on this one.

Vastly superior to the director-supervised Korean 2-disc Special Edition????(taken from the original negatives no doubt)....How can this be?????
Plus the extras, DTS track and stuff....I'll stick with the Region 3 version thank you very much..........

Do people read all the posts? The picture quality on the R3 and R0 versions is vastly inferior to U.S. Studio made DVD's and the differences can easily be seen on any large RPTV. The R1 SHIRI test disc has been seen by an insider at Sony and he loved it and says it blows away the Asian versions, all of which he owns.
This is no surprise to me and to anyone that understands the differences between Asian and American MPEG2 encoding facilities.
Anyone that wants to keep their originals, fine. Go right ahead. But don't discourage others from getting the R1 edition because it IS uncut, it IS remastered and the transfer IS from a brand new High Definition master, encoded at Sony's facility (the best in the world). The sound was remixed too.

what shady corporate crap is this...that picture on the cover isnt even a scene in the movie...I dont even remember any risque or sex scenes in the movie...in fact i didnt really like the movie to tell you the truth so I dont remember however the use of sex as a ploy to grab the consumer is quite low...somehow im not even surprised at their move for this lame cover. dont get me wrong, im a red blooded male and i find the cover quite nice but this just isnt right.

Print out your own cover. Any color printer can do it, if you use the glossy paper. I have done it myself for more than a few DVD's.
Fact is, Columbia wants to sell more copies. Many retailers base their buying ON THE COVER. I sh*t you not. So I see why Columbia is doing this.

By the way - the Street Fighter spoof was my favorite part of that movie... hilarious.
