replacement for HongKong DVD cases
Some of my HongKong and Taiwanese DVD cases got crushed in a recent move. Anyone knows where I can get replacement cases?
The DVD cases of HongKong DVDs are a bit wider than the alpha/amaray variety found here in the states, so their cover artworks will not fit into the usual replacement cases most stateside residents are familiar with.

First, I think, you may find a link to what you required on this thread: link
Failing that, there is a DVDTalk dedicated thread which may deal with your specialist requirement: link

Their website does not have photos, so you may have to call. It is also better to call as they may have some items to make you a deal.
Hope this helps

from what I could see, none of these threads cover the fact that most HK DVDs do use the wider 298mm-width cases, to conform to their standard A4 paper is the guess.
The only place on the Net that I have seen it sold at is at DDDHouse, where they are selling for $5HK each. These are black Amarays, exactly the same as the ones that the older Megastar movies from 1999 and 2000 use.
Having said that, it appears now that the very newest movies are using the covers and cases that North Americans are more used to, the 273mm-width cases. This is not uniform amongst distribution companies however. All Chinastar DVDs and Deltamac since the beginning of 2001 use the smaller standard. Mei Ah may have joined the fray recently as well - I have Dummy Mommy Without A Baby and it uses the shorter standard as well. Universe I believe is still using the A4 standard, someone correct me if I'm wrong. To further confuse things, Winson on a couple of their newer movies are using a smaller thinner case that I kinda wished were the standard.
And for what it's worth, all boots are using the shorter covers as well. I only say this because I suspect that the same companies that are designing and printing the covers for the distribution companies are doing the same for the not-so-legit companies.

Look in the "Other" category, all the way at the bottom of that page is -DVD Keep Case (Black Color).
Maybe this is what you're looking for?
cheers,
Gabe
