HK Legends Sale at Blackstar.
For those of you with multi-zone players, Blackstar www.blackstar.co.uk is having a sale on selected Hong Kong Legends & Eastern Heroes DVDs.
I just picked up the following:
HKL Big Boss
HKL Way Of The Dragon
HKL Fist Of Fury
HKL The Hitman
All were 9.99 quid, which roughly translates to $30 Aussie or $15 US.
Pretty good pricing on some great titles.
Enjoy!

How much should I expect to pay for shipping to the US?
EDIT: Nevermind. It appears the 1.40 pounds/disc is universal.

Can someone post a good review site on HK Legends R2 DVDs?
In particular, I would like reviews on:
* Iron Monkey
* Legend of a Fighter
* Drunken Master
* New Dragon Gate Inn
Other titles may be considered too.
Thanks.
Dave
Edit: Found http://www.asiandvdguide.com for HKL reviews. However, there appears to be some discrepancies on the language for some of the above titles....Blackstar lists as Cantonese, whereas the Asian DVD Guide typically lists the language as Mandarin (e.g., Drunken Master, New Dragon Gate Inn, Snake in Eagle's Shadow).

reviews
if you checked asiandvdguide, then you read the bullets and babes reviews, those reviews are correct go with those reviews over the site information, i would wait on the drunken master because columbia is supposed to be releasing one in april that supposed to have cantonese with eng subs, but the rest are probly good to go even though i elected to go with the tai seng dragon gate in over the hkl because of the cantonese track, even though the picture is 10 times poorer, the iron monkey is probly a good buy since the us release will probly have the same cut as the us theater release

stupid question - does any of the HKL titles for HK movies have the Chinese title on the DVD spine cover? The ones I've seen are all English. Only reason I ask is that currently I have my movies sorted by Chinese name at the moment.

Looks they were quick to respond to Blackstar's sale on many of the same titles. The fact that they have free shipping gives Bensons the edge. Thanks for the tip.

Some of the titles still work out cheaper on blackstar, but bensonsworld has a larger selection. Time to order some more...

number of characters, then by number of strokes in the first character, then number of strokes in the second character. I do have Stephen Chow, Chow Yun Fat, Jet Li, Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies separated since they are 100% mutually exclusive. I do admit that this practice sucks but the wife likes this sorting better than using the English name which she rarely has an idea of the name.
