Besides avdeals.com (which seems to be not shipping the N996 right now), where is a good place to purchase the Malata? Unless, of course, avdeals.com is shipping it, which I haven't heard.

I ordered my player from http://www.220-electronics.com and received it in three days. I had heard mixed reports about them but both avdeals and nbt were on vacation or without any Malatas for two weeks and I got tired of waiting. The player arrived in good working order and features the latest firmware and upgrade switch.

.... your subject title suggests you know that the Malata is a frequent topic here yet your question indicates that you may not have read the previous threads. It is only right and proper, IMNSHO particularly for longstanding members, to try a search before risking a duplicate thread.

Although big-hearted members will often repeat themselves for the benefit of people who can't find the details, I don't see much here that wasn't already posted before:-

• Which Malata DVD Player Do I Order - and from where? [Merged] (d-oh lists Malata-vending etailers here)

In the second cited thread someone posted a link showing that AVSDeals.com is shipping the machines again: their site (easily checked) has them on display. All that seems to be holding things up is that AVSDeals.com closed down for an extended holiday between 21 December and 14 January - again per their site. So I guess they'll be back soon....
