anyone have the SERIAL EXPERIMENTS:LAIN HK set?
Noticed a bunch of these on eBay, wondering what the difference between these and the US releases are, if they're legit releases, etc. ...

Thor, unfortunately these are 'bootlegs' and not legit products.
I have Devilman Lady Box Set, Berserk Box Set, Devilman Amon & Akira in my collection. The video & sound quality is AWESOME (laserdisk rips?), but the subtitles leave a LOT to be desired. Humourously bad translations, and terrible spelling and grammar in the subs.
I purchased mine only because the above titles were not available as legit releases (WAY before Akira was released locally).
Do yourself a favour and get the legit Lain. The story is so complex and confusing that I'd hate to see their English interpretation of it!
