Anyone knows where i can get this fabulous show? (wif english subtitles)
watched it in the cinema, want to own it.... Carries the humanist tones of LA GRANDE ILLUSION... apparently it was so poignant that even the head honcho of NORTH KOREA requested for a copy!!!

thats FANTASTIC news!!! Any idea about the Extras?
is there a website then??? hope it gets the 2-DVD SE treatment a la SHIRI!!!!
Seems that Korea has created a fine balance of STYLE & SUBSTANCE....
any other crucial KOREAN films? * write a lil synopsis too...

The Korean DVDs I have:
Christmas In August - romantic drama - Excellent!
This is released by Edko of Hong Kong
Jakarta - action comedy/drama - Excellent! 3 groups plan to rob a bank at the same time. Very unpredictable with many twists!
Shiri SE - good action movie
Bichunmoo SE - good martial arts period drama, in the mold of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Art Museum By The Zoo - nice romantic drama
Memento Mori SE - a thinking man's horror drama - very good, in an arthouse way!
The Foul King - totally funny comedy about a wanna-be wrestler
No. 3 - good crime world drama (supposed to be dark comedy). Some really funny moments with this hitman leader! (The wrestler guy from The Foul King)
Attack The Gas Station - those crazy youths!
Libera Me - OK action drama about fire fighters
Nowhere To Hide - decent cops and robbers action drama
I have the US release, which is 12 mins shorter than the Korean release
Tell Me Something - pretty good suspense thriller
I have the Hong Kong release
Absolutely looking forward to releases of:
J.S.A
Musa: The Warrior
Read all about these movies at:

jktv,
Do you know if the Spectrum DVD of No.3 is Region coded All? The cover and some of the DVD sites say it's Region 3 but I also heard otherwise from other sites saying it's actually Region free.
Would appreciate your feedback as I plan on ordering this classic. Thanks.

Thanks dleedlee,
I couldn't get a clear confirmation for the longest time. Looks like I'll be sticking with my VHS copy for the meantime until I spoil myself with a Region free player.

It's due to come out here in Korea in the next few weeks or so....Goes without saying that it'll be anamorphic and (hopefully) have lots of extras......It's been on regular TV here about 4 months ago and the VCD is easily available......

The first official release date for the Korean DVD version of JSA was planned to be on 8th. Feb, but the date has been pushed back again for late February. The Region 3 DVD would release as a 2 disc set, with Director - Critic - Cast - Staff Commentary, 1 hour making documentary, Making Film of scene, Music Video, Another Short Film by the Director. Supplement would be 8 hours long, and it would be released by CJ Entertainment.

DVD Talk Special Edition
I am very pleased with the HK version. Usually I get the Korean Version, if I like the HK one. However, the HK version is pretty awesome.
I need to watch this again.
