Amelie with English subs - to be released in UK, 25th March
Yes, Amelie is to be released on the 25th March.
At the moment there appears to be little in the way of details of what will be included with this release in the way of extras, and it currently only appears to be listed for pre-order at Play.com, who unfortunately do not ship beyond Europe... so keep an eye out for it at Black Star or Amazon soon.
Hopefully, this news will make some of your days.
regards, Tim...

R2 UK Amelie SE?
Anyone know if the 2-disc SE of Amelie is still slated for its 4/15 release? Blackstar still has it on their site as a pre-order--does this mean that the rumor that it was going to be pulled is now dead?

Ordered the R2 UK edition yesterday since I dont know French the deluxe (French) edition would make little sense for me. Thought I'd just buy it since the domestic Region 1 release wont have the DTS track that the R2 editions include.

Ok, who's got the UK R2 Amelie and can comment on picture, sound quality and extras? I know it came out today, so hopefully you lucky gits will let those of us on the wrong side of the pond know if this disc measures up. Thanks!

Mine shipped from Bensonsworld last Friday and I had it in my hands on Monday (4/15)! Wow...that's better than most domestic dealers. Just had time for a quick look. What I saw and heard i really liked. More to come....

I got the 2 disk Amelie/Delicatessen set from www.hmv.co.uk for £23 delivered next day. Amelie is a great disk - excellent picture and the DTS track is very good in places. Watched Delicatessen for the 1st time in ages last night - was as good as I remembered it.

Commentary on both - bit subdued but interesting.
Delicatessen has the following:
Audio commentary from director Jean-Pierre Jeunet
Making of featurette
Fine slices (and delicacies) from Diane Bertrand
Footage from the archives of Jean-Pierre Jeunet
Trailers
