DVD to VHS problems
My problem is that I wish to make back-up copies of DVD’s to VHS tape.
I only receive the sound on one of the two channels when playing through the VCR.
I have a copymate CM1 to defeat the Macrovision.
However I am told Macrovision does not affect the sound.
1) I have connected the DVD player to the TV direct…perfect, two stereo channels.
2) If I connect (scart) the DVD player to the (NICAM) VCR and monitor the effects through the VCR (using the second scart) I receive only one channel. The recorded VCR tape is the same.
3) I have tried both with and without the CM-1 to the same effect ( the picture suffers without the CM-1).
In desperation I have tried a different VCR and DVD player and the loss of one channel is the same.
Why do I lose one channel of sound when using a Nicam (VCR)?
