Goodfellas *R2 French Release*
For those interested?
I just bought "Goodfellas" as site I bought it from,
said it was 16:9 "DVDZone2".
Yes, I emailed them & told them to correct thier info.
Once again "Warner Bros." refuses to release this movie,
as it should be. 16:9 & non-flipper.
After 5 years of DVDs in market, same old garbage.
I'm mailing this crap right back & never buying again...
until it's released as it should be!

Unfortunately DVDZone2 does have a lot of incorrect technical information listed at their site. I had previously ordered Wrongfully Accused from their because it's 16:9 in R2 whereas the R1 version is p&s. Upon receiving the disc I noticed it has forced French subtitles when you choose the English audio option. Luckily someone at HTF told me that my Pioneer DVD player was one of the few that can remove forced subs. 
Anyway, I emailed them about their mistake and they did correct it a few days later. Also, the last time I checked they had Titanic listed as 16:9, I can assure you it's not 16:9 enhanced in any region, which is a shame. The thing about DVDZone2 is that they are the only French DVD site written in English that I know of which makes them the obvious choice when it comes time to place an order. In other news, in R1 a special edition of GoodFellas is planned for the second half of 2002. Thank God, it's my favorite movie!

Looks like we have similar taste in movies :-)
I was planning to buy R4 new released in Sept.
but they of course released it Pan & Scan :-(
Guess I have to skip R2, as I hate forced subs.
