Iranian DVD: What's available and what's out there?

Anybody here a fan of Iranian films? Besides the following titles, what else is out there?

Leila - Dariush Mehrjui
The Colour of Paradise - Majid Majidi
Taste of Cherry - Abbas Kiarostami
Blackboards - Samira Makmalbahf (R2)

The Dwarf with the weird taste,
Krug

I have been looking for Kiarostami on dvd for a while and have nothing except a Taste of Cherry. What a shame!

Someone somewhere is bound to eventually release more of his films on dvd!

Not with the way Miramax is treating his films (especially Through the Olive Trees). Miramax bought the rights to Kiarostami films, and never showed them in theaters, nor do they plant o release them on VHS or DVD. In other words, they bought the rights and just sat on them, pretty much preventing anyone else from showing it here in the US.

On DVD, there's also the R1 release of Jafar Panahi's "The Circle" coming out. But that's it, AFAIK. There's quite a lot available on VCD though (The Wind Will Carry Us, Children of Heaven, Where is the Friend's Home?, The White Balloon, etc.). "The Day I Became a Woman" was distributed by Shooting Gallery, and they went bankrupt. So chances are, we'll never see that film on VHS or DVD either. So sad.......

There's also the one minute short by Kiarostami on the Lumière and Company DVD. I know I'm grasping at straws here. Pretty pathetic.

I'm tapping my feet and patiently waiting for Kiarostami's newest, Willow and Wind and my favourite, Close Up. Also the seldom seen (shot in 1992 but released in 1999), The Lady, by Dariush Mehrjui.

Willow and Wind wasn't directed by Kiarostami - it's by Mohammad-Ali Talebi. The last film Kiarostami did was "ABC Africa", a documentary on AIDs in Africa. It premiered at Cannes this past May.

Well, written by Kiarostami. Have you seen it Grimfarrow?
