Massive HKL news! Some of the best Asian titles EVER to be released!

http://www.bulletsnbabesdvds.com/

The titles coming from HONG KONG LEGENDS...

THE KILLER
Bullet In The Head (probably the version Woo wants)
A Better Tomorrow 2
A Better Tomorrow 3
Once A Thief
City On Fire
Prison on Fire
Prison on Fire 2
A Chinese Ghost Story
A Chinese Ghost Story 2
A Chinese Ghost Story 3
The Swordsman
City Wars
Peking Opera Blues
Triads: The Inside Story
The Big Heat
Tiger on Beat

Basically, they want us all to go broke!

Edit: All titles are announced, so this list is complete. Wow.

I keep getting "Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource" errors from that link.

Pardon my ignorance, but I know most of those, if not all, are already on DVD. Is HONG KONG LEGENDS significant because they remaster DVD's, put extras on it, etc., similar to a Criterion release?

Their website has been, apparantly, slammed by hits and cannot handle the load, so be patient with them.

As for HKL, yes, their titles are an absolute God-send vs. the complete pieces of crap that Media Asia, Mega Star, Universe, Chinastar and Mei Ah have released over the years. They are also vastly superior to the disgraceful releases from Columbia TriStar.

Simply put, HKL is the Criterion Collection or Anchor Bay of Europe. No other company can match them. If you want your Hong Kong films in their original form, not dubbed, and with the best transfers in anamorphic to boot, then look no further than HKL.

This is awesome news! Wish they could get the rights to a lot more Jet Li and Jackie Chan films though. The R1 Disney versions bite the big one!

more jet li, or more old skool

Yeah, I'll go for a new fist of legend dvd, the thakral release is alright, but I'll love to get it with a better transfer and some extras.

Wow, john woo on HKL release, does that mean that all those criterion release on eBay will start coming back to earth? Or keep skyrocketing. I'll have to get rid of my FoxLorber dvd's and upgrade my apex to malata....

Can't wait till these suckas come out, especiall the first 4.

Tnx Matt, you made my day....
