Don't know if you were aware, but it's now up for pre-order at DDDHouse. Not the best film, but for those interested in great sound and dazzling effects, this DVD should have those things. I'm gonna get it just as a good demo disc

No idea - all I know is that it comes out on Nov 2nd and it has a DTS track. I don't even know if it's widescreen or not. What's ChinaStar been doing lately with their DVDs? Have they been doing Anamorphic releases? Anyone? I wouldn't count on it in all honesty, but you never know.

Since the release of "Mister Q 2001". ChinaStar have been releasing anamorphic prints on all their titles (even for relatively small titles, such as "Gimme, Gimme"). From what I've seen from their output. It's gonna be a very good picture (even their letterboxed stuff looked good IMO. E.g. The Duel).

However, I'm still wondering if there will be a stumbling block due to the acquisition of the film by Miramax in the west.

Hope not.
