Any word on "Sonatine" getting a DVD release?

"Sonatine" a Takeshi Kitano film.

www.asiandvdguide.com is the place to check about stuff like this.

Here's a thread I had a coupla months ago. Doesn't look like it's available with subs at all right now. Too bad.

Sadly, Tuan Jim is right. There is a Korean release of Sonatine on DVD, but it is with Korean subs only, and on top of that is Region 3. On the plus side, it is in 5.1, and comes with a making of extra. I think Poker has it.

Sonatine will be getting a special edition release in France bundled with Boiling Point. Another dvd set with Violent Cop and Kids Return will also be available.

No english subs, only french..

Thanks, I actually did check out asiandvdguide, and couldn't find it, that's why I asked in here.

Well, since it will be getting a French release, maybe a US one isn't far behind. Those double packs looks sweet.

im looking...

for SONATINE wif english subs too.... for a loooong time...

Tokyo Bullet (a sub of UK's MIA) is releasing Violent Cop this coming december... one of the confirmed future release is SONATINE!!!

(@amazon.fr) but the double release of sonatine & boiling point looks like A REAL GEM! dammit. cant they throw in english subs like the glorious transfer of WKW's In The Mood For Love.... im sure a heck more people will buy...... dun get it...
