Anybody get Chunhyang?

I should have known better, but I picked up the New Yorker DVD of Chunhyang last night. Has anyone else gotten this disc? When playing the disc on my Malata, anything more than slight movement resulted in the moving object/person being outlinedor covered with horizontal lines, rendering the picture essentially unwatchable. Since New Yorker is a crap company, I should have expected it, but this seems like it might be a defective disc. Can anyone else confirm, or it is just me?

It sounds like you may have the video filter on your Malata set to "still." Most moving objects will suffer from the kind of motion blur you've described with the filter set to "still." Make sure you have it on "movie" or "smart" instead.

I plan on getting this disc in the near future, so I'll be able to check it out soon.

I ordered mine from 800.com and should get it any day now, so I'll check it out on my Pioneer.

Okay, it was a problem with the settings on my Malata, as a friend's player played it fine. My Malata was already on Smart, and changing it to Movie had no effect. When I set it to Camera 1, that seemed to do the trick.

I really enjoyed the movie but thought the transfer was mediocre, too much pixelization and artifacts.
