What DVD player displays PAL 16:9 Titles Properly?
I am tired of getting PAL 16:9 DVDs and having them play in squeeze mode on my normal NTSC TV.
Aside from obvious and getting a W I D E S C R E E N television, do any of you guys own a player that acutally displays PAL 16:9 LTBX with the black bars intact?
Many players give you the option to change monitor settings, but in my case the changes do nothing to help the cause.
Example 2,35:1 PAL titles look 1,77:1 on my NTSC TV.
APEX DVD decks do not, nor do SMC, or SAMPO.
What decks with a built in converter solve this problem?

I had an Apex and had the same problem. I've since upgraded to the Malata and anamorphic DVDs that were stretched before (NTSC and PAL) display perfectly now. I was finally able to watch my Another Heaven and El Arte de Morir DVDs which were stretched on the Apex.
Get a Malata and you'll be happy like me!

Wild Zero defintely rocks! The next one to see is Versus which I just got this weekend. It's another Japanese zombie action movie but with a serious (and good) plot and absolutely kick-@ss action.
Martial arts and swordplay as good as the best Hong Kong movies with gun-toting, sword-wielding fast-moving zombies. Unfortunately the only DVD available now is the bootleg I bought but an official release will hopefully hit this year. (I believe) Miramax picked up the US rights so it'll hopefully hit theaters this year.
