Nevermind. I figured it out. I hit the PAL button when I was selecting the tv signal system. I returned it to auto and that fixed it.
Is there a Faq somewhere so that I don't drive you guys crazy with questions?
Thanks,
Ken

OT: Philips DVD701
Slightly off-topic, but I figured I post this here since the Malata thread is getting a lot of traffic.
Target is unloading their Philips DVD701 stock at their B&M stores. These are multi-region hackable, PAL/NTSC compatible, and are going for less than $90 apiece.

Has anyone had any expereince with this unit, and specifically, does anyone know whether they default to PAL/NTSC based on the format of the inserted DVD or if the user can select PAL/NTSC output? (Or, in layman's terms, can I put a R2 PAL disc in the player and view it on my NTSC TV like my Apex can?)

Well, if you can - it will look the same as on your APEX (ie. anamorphic discs will be stretched too tall and regular discs will be somewhat squished...)

The question stands... is the Philips' unit output selectable?
