Ruscico's Solaris - Anyone else have this problem?

An interesting quirk occurred while watching my new copy of Solaris. My wife is Japanese, so we were viewing the movie dubbed in English (so I could understand it) and subtitled in Japanese (to help her - neither of us had seen it before). Every so often, the dubbing would switch from English back to original Russian, lasting anywhere from a sentence or two to several minutes. Curious to know if anyone else has experienced this (although I don't imagine many people view a movie dubbed in one language and subtitled in another).

Yes, this is a known problem, not just with your copy. Apparently, the only English dub recorded for Solaris was of an edited version of the film, so every now and again, the dialogue will switch back to Russian when there is no corresponding recorded English dub.
