DDD house recomendations ?

I own already :

Ring
Audition
Uzumaki Watching it tonight !!
Battle Royale

I also liked the fight scenes in CTHD

i am open to suggestion as to what type of films i will watch, action, horror and drama ??

I would be gratefull if someone would suggest other great titles i can purchase from DDDhouse (if my credit card can take the strain)

Thanks

You can give Bichunmoo a try. It is a Korean action/drama that follows a similar chemistry with CTHD.

Do a seach on IMDB for Lau Ching Wan and pick up some of those (Full Alert, Lifeline, The Victim, Running Out Of Time, Longest Night, etc...).

I own Running Out of Time and I love it - could you elaborate on those other titles for me? How is Lau Ching Wan involved? Or is that Andy Lau's name?

He's the actor in all of them. He's also the head cop in Running Out Of Time. Another one of his movies that is really good is Expect The Unexpected. The end is just a bit much, but I still think it's a great flic.

Since you seem to like Japanese horror, you will probably also like Another Heaven and Tomie. There are plenty of HK horror films, but most of them are complete duds that degenerate into goofy comedy fests, some intentionally, and others quite unintentionally. You'll most likely be best served by sticking to the Japanese horror films.

For martial arts films, you may enjoy Iron Monkey (features the same fight co-ordinator) along with some of Jet Li's works. If you are into fancier effects in martial arts films, you likely want to view Storm Riders and A Man Called Hero. Korea's Bichunmoo also comes highly recommended, especially as you enjoyed CTHD.

LCW is the head cop, Andy Lau is the criminal. Other LCW movies I recommend:

Longest Night - very dark "film noir"
Lifeline - similar to Backdraft
Full Alert - similar to Heat
C'est la vie, mon chéri - romance
The Victim - starts off as a good thriller, but then falls back into the usual, still worth a watch though

That's a good selection to get you started w/.
