Sazuma Import Woes

Has any one else out there been having trouble getting product from www.sazuma.com

I have used these guys a few times before and as of late service has totally gone downhill.

I used them about 3 or 4 times about a year ago. They overcharged me on EVERY SINGLE order. On the first few, I got it corrected fairly quickly... a pain, but not too bad.

On my last order (which, of course, became MY LAST order), they gave me the runaround. I was told that they had to talk to "accounting", then that the credit was done, then that "accounting" was having problems, then that the credit was done, then that "accounting" had no record of my order... etc. etc. etc. Eventually, they just stopped responding to me.

Any company that overcharges me (and *knows* they are overcharging me) and then refuses to fix the situation, they lose my business. It was only a few bucks, but certainly doesn't make me feel confident about how they would deal with larger issues.

The prices were good, but shipping times were VERY slow and the customer service is terrible. I get the sense that this is an operation run by 2 guys in a basement.

yuck

I did one order with them a while back. It was a pain in the a$$. The price was good for some imports. However, it seemed I was communication with someone in Austria (or somewhere like that) for about a month before it came. Then I noticed the package was shipped out of Oregon (???).

It just took too long and the hassle wasn't worth paying a few bucks less than other places.

This was a year or two ago... $0.02

Similar experiences here.

I ordered from them twice when I first got my multi-region player. Both orders took over four months to ship and they over-charged me both times. I have stopped using them and don't recommend them.

Buyer Beware!

I placed an order for two DVDs from Sazuma back on 6/26 and cancelled it yesterday cause there's been no progress. I don't know what ever possessed me to order from them in the first place. From now on, I'll stick with the excellent service at CDJapan.

They suck and suck badly. Stick with either cdjapan or amotokyo.
