Deadful Melody... please help
Ok - I ordered this a long ass time ago from reellove.com and it has yet to arrive. I think since the Thakral (China Star) release is OOP, they are waiting for the new version to come out. I paid 31% off of a 24.99 MSRP. The new Tai Seng version set to come out has a 19.99 MSRP, so I emailed them about this saying that if that's what they are sending me, then I want the price dropped.
Anyway - I have a pretty good idea what the Thakral version is like thanks to the asian dvd guide
But I don't know anything about the one that's due out in August. I remember reading a blurb on it somewhere, but forgot where. Will it come as a special edition or will it be a piece of crap? Did I remember hearing it will come with commentary from that HK expert who did the commentary for OUATIC and Dragon Inn? Will the sound be mono instead of DD 2.0? Any info would be apprecicated. Links if you got em.
Thanks.

Well, the old one (which I rented) could be found very cheap, $15 and under at Amazon, buy.com, cdnow, ect, and it was so barebones it didnt have a menu. (You sure it was Thakral?, I thought it was World Video or some other company)Havent heard if Tai Seng will do anything special with it. Anyway, anyone charging $25 for the old release is insane, so I'd drop them like a bad habit becasue it isnt worth that.

Which cover was it? The Thakral one is the bottom one. The top one is the same one Tai Seng was peddling I think over here in the states. There's supposed to be a new DVD coming out from Tai Seng. What should I do?

Edit: P.S. These images are from the Asian DVD Guide - www.asiandvdguide.com - they provide information about nearly all DVD editions of HK films. Please support AsianDVDGuide by visiting them.

Sorry to do this, but - - Trigger - please read/reply to my post in the Newbie thread.
I suppose that is the problem with the "Sticky" threads is that they are always at the top, so no one notices them!
