This was Chinese Torture Chamber Story with Elvis Tsui Kam Kong and an actress whose name i forget having fun in the trees. Too bad Ang Lee restrained himself and didn't have Chow Yun-Fat and Zhang Zi-Yi do some of these moves in the bamboo at the end of CTHD.

Chinese Torture Chamber Story isn't as bad as its title makes it sound. It's really more of a sex comedy and was recently released on DVD and worth having.

Sex and Zen is THE classic HK Category III sex comedy, and a must-have for anyone into that kind of stuff. Renting this movie and the Erotic Ghost Story series from Netflix got me interested in HK films and have led me to explore all the other genres.

The flying sex kung fu flick is Chinese Torture Chamber Story. (http://www.hkflix.com/xq/asp/filmID.447/qx/details.htm)

As for High Risk, I really didn't like it very much. I think Jacky Cheung's slapstick wacky Jackie Chan parody character was a bit too much, especially next to Jet Li's stone-faced killer character... But many others seem to feel differently...in fact it was recently reissued on USA DVD as "Meltdown". (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...05BJX9/dvdtalk)

None of these HK DVDs are going to be hardcore porn, that's basically illegal there. I haven't seen these titles yet myself, but I can tell you they sell very well at HKFlix (where I work). I'm not soliciting, just telling you what I know!

Cat III

Cat III is equivalent to NC-17 in the States. Usually sex scenes, T&A, and maybe a brief frontal male scene (like Robotrix, but you'd miss it unless you freeze-frame a certain scene, and then it wasn't really).

Sex and Zen is a classic CAT III softcore movie if you are into that. High class.

Chinese Torture is cool just for the flying sex scene. More of a comedy as mentioned above and the torture scenes are pretty lame (in the realistic department).

Never heard of the other one. Anyone?

Out of the 3 - Fiery Dragon Kid is the best. One of my favorite flying kung-fu films from the early 90's. Great effects as well. Sex and Zen is hilarious - but I prefer the English dub on this one actually as it makes it even funnier. Never saw Chinese Torture Chamber, but now I must. High Risk is ok - the US version (Meltdown) has a better transfer and they restored some violent scenes that were cut from the most recent HK release, but the US version is dubbed and they cut out some of the Jacky Chan parody material as well as a few things here and there. The HK release has all of that, but is missing a few violent bits in cuts that are quite noticeable. If you can manage to find the earlier release of the HK disc, it's completely uncut... good luck though. In any case - it's probably a good idea to rent it first anyway to make sure you like it. The comparisons to Die Hard are greatly exaggerated...

As already said, a classic, should be good if you are into the kind of cheap titilation and goofy comedy it offers. Very Fun.
High Risk
Probably Jet Li's best modern setting film, a nice action and great parody, but its really Jacky Chueng who steals the film.
Fiery Dragon Kid
Another in the long line of lackluster HK fantasy films that the early 90's spawned. Despite some neat pyrotechnics, nice costumes, and a good finale, most of the film is muddled comedy and tiresome plot with too little action. Not one of Yuen Woo Ping or Bridgette Lin's better efforts, but worthwhile, I guess, if you are a die hard fan of them.

My advice is to pick something else. I was very disappointed by both Sex & Zen & High Risk. I thought they were both wastes of time & am glad I only rented them from netflix & didn't buy them. I've never seen Fiery Dragon Kid.

Sex & Zen sounds good, but I didn't find it very erotic, funny, or outrageous.

Same with High Risk - a Hong Kong Die Hard with vicious parodies of Jackie Chan & Bruce Lee starring Jet Li - a can't miss, right? But I thought there was very little action & I found Jacky Cheung to be incredibly irritating & unfunny.

Is Naked Killer Category III or just IIB? I highly recommend that over Sex & Zen. Some nudity & badly simulated sex with good action, humor, & some gross out bits. The only other Cat. III movie I've seen is Robotrix - which was probably worse than Sex & Zen.

& if you want action/comedy, I'd go with a Stephn Chiau movie instead of High Risk. Maybe Royal Tramp or something like that.

Naked Killer is III.

I despise Stephen Chow (but was amused by God of Cookery, King of Beggars, Flirtong Scholar)
