not sure if we're supposed to talk about new HK movies in this forum, but anyhow Love on a Diet opened this weekend in HK, and beat Pearl Harbor (which also opened this weekend) at the box office! Judging from the reviews and what my compadres in HK said, it's well on its way to becoming the HK box office champion of 2001.
This is the Andy Lau/Sammi Cheng followup to last year's smash romantic comedy hit Needing You, about two overweight people Nutty Professor-style.
