Nothing for me this year, and that is fine.
As an Amazon affiliate, I received tons of emails encouraging me to spread the word on lots of recommended products to push. I use my affiliate stuff for niche things that are of my world(s) instead of chase the latest craze, so I didn't bother. No time and energy to even try.

Maybe I’ll glance at my wish list and see if anything is a possibility, but I think I’m tapped out after the Criterion sale.

Bought a "Like New" Sony WH-1000 XM4 headset for $133. That's much less than the $200 sale price, let alone the $349 MSRP for those headphones. I don't need them, but I heard they were much better for noise canceling than my Beats, and I'd pay almost any price to stop yearing my wife's reality TV crap when I am unwinding at bedtime.

I ordered a Ryzen 7 5800XT CPU to replace the 2700X I have in a system I built in 2019 (I think). According to the motherboard manufacturer, it will work. I'm not ready to totally upgrade an entire system. ALso a tube of decent thermal compound although I do have tiny tubes of generic stuff. Hey it was on sale!!

Couple pairs of basketball shorts, couple shirts, South Park BLU 4K, a 10th (?) Cobra Trooper figure, and one thing I actually need, a new cuttingboard.

My wife and I use 2 Motorola Moto G Power 2020 phones, like them just fine, but they're 4G. I have a pair of Moto G Power 2024 5G phones in my cart, saved for later so I can get pricing updates. With Prime Day, those phones went down in price quite a bit, not game changing, but not bad at all. Only problem is I'm now looking at the Moto G Power 2025 models which were not affected by Prime Day and are $260 ea. (vs. $170 ea. for the 2024's). Fortunately, our 2020's are still working just fine, they just have Android 11 on them, which is still functional, just old hat (so to speak).
That was the only thing in my cart (of 57 items, saved for later) that was affected by Prime Day. I'm not looking through 50 pages of crap just to see if there's anything I might be interested in, so that is my Prime Day.

Anyone expecting anything from the upcoming Amazon "Prime Big Deal Days"?
I've cut way back on Amazon this year so haven';t spent too much time attempting to find if they might have any deals that interest me.

Honestly, not much. Prime now mostly seems like Amazon's way of gatekeeping who their customers are. I'm sure we'll see a few price cuts on media but mostly pricematches.

Re: Amazon Prime Day deals
No and I never do. Those "sales" always have the look and feel of a clearance sale of overstocked junk.

Re: Amazon Prime Day deals
Or sometimes companies (not just Amazon) raise the prices before the "sale" and later decrease prices at the start of the "sale" . Therefore it ends up being virtually same price or sometimes a bit higher than the original price.

Re: Amazon Prime Day deals
I picked up an Osprey backpack that's usually ~$250 for under $135. I was in the market for this for a while and was at REI today trying a few on. When I went on Amazon to see if they had an extension belt (they don't, but Osprey does, directly), I found the bag I was looking at at the discount, so I went for it. Can't recall buying something on these Amazon days in years until now.
