Well this sucks - the three Dairy Queens that are near me are closed - won't be open until later this month - Friday, March 27.
(Not sure if this is national or just a local thing but there was an ad in the free weekly newspaper we get on the weekends where the one in town is doing a half-off deal on every item. This deal lasts all day on Saturday, March 28.)
I would have definiately have taken advantage of the free cone deal - as I would have been near two of them today.
(There are Dairy Queens that are open in the WNY area but all are too far for me to go out of my way to get a free ice cream cone.)
Speaking of taking advantage of free food because I have multiple stores around - got some bad news a week or so ago.
Two of the 7-11 stores near me closed up shop. Now I only have three of them that are close by when I get my free slurpee run come July 11. Sigh!
I'm not surprise one of them closed though - it was one stop light away from another 7-11 store which was is in a plaza like area with alot of businesses. Sucks for the people who lived near by though - they lose that thing of having to just walk to the corner store (it was actually on a corner too) if they needed to pick up something in a hurry. Now they will have to get in their car.

Closest one to me is also too far out of the way for me to take advantage of. Plus the last time I had a cone from DQ(around 3 months ago) it tasted like shit. Not sure if it was an isolated deal, but not worth going out of my way for to find out.
