For anyone who has been holding off on the Beatles in Mono, Best Buy has dropped the price to $99.99 and Amazon has matched. It is a beautful set and many find the mono mixes to be the preferred listening experience. It does not include Let It Be, Abbey Road or Yellow Submarine as they did not have a unique mono mix.

I have the Beatles Anthology sets from a few years ago and love them. I may have to pick up the mono box sometime. When I listen to music or watch a movie, I try to do so in the original audio form, if possible. Now, if they would do a huge box set like this for Glenn Miller, I'd be first in line !

$100 for this is quite a deal! I bought it when it came out for over twice that and it was worth every penny. It looks like Amazon is (temporarily) sold out this morning, but Best Buy still has it at this price. This should go without saying, but if you buy this from a seller on Amazon Marketplace or ebay, you will almost certainly get a bootleg.

I got this for $172.21 from Barnes & Noble as a pre-order! This set is fantastic and well worth the Franklin note.

Bought it for $150 in an amazon lightning deal. There was another sale price that was higher than this--maybe $120 or so?

I thought those prices were pretty great. $100 is practically stealing it for ten albums plus the singles comp.

It's no longer priced match at Amazon.

I got one back in December for just over $100. It took some effort to get a legit box for that price. This would be one of those very few times where Best Buy lives up to its name. Their cd selection these days is looking pretty anemic. I would love to pay a sensible price for the Lennon box one of these days but so far it hasn't happened.

The mono set is still available from Amazon marketplace for $103 shipped (no tax, unlike AMZN in New York!). And the stereo set is available there for under $120.

As an FYI...I saw four mono sets in one of my local Best Buys still marked at 99.99.

I saw 2 @ BB today @ $99.99. Because of all the Chinese bootlegs running around on this, it is one title I would only buy from a major retailer, especially at this price.

And I will echo the sentiments of Moo. No matter how cheap it may be, do not buy this from a third party. It has been (probably due to its historically high price) bootlegged like crazy. Probably still plenty of those bootlegs around to catch the unwary.

Got it at my local Best Buy for $99.99 this past weekend, even though it rang up at $199.99. Yeah me.

I can attest to this. Also, half.com is slow as hell with disputes, but they do come through eventually.
