Seinfeld Scene It $10 at Walmart (YMMV)

Was in Walmart yesterday and scoped out the clearance aisle. Not much caught my eye, but they had about 10 boxes of Seinfeld Scene It marked down from $29.98 to $10. Of course with Walmart this is YMMV but it's a decent deal.

Not a bad price. I picked this up through Amazon during the holidays when they had it for $5.

Question, are they paying you $10 to take it out of the store? Or are they seriously asking people to pay money for that Seinfeld crap?

Yes. The most popular sitcom in the history of TV but since you don't like it that means it's crap.

Well... Top 5 probably, but I dunno about MOST popular. I'd put I Love Lucy, Cheers and MASH are up there, too... I think that would be the top 4, not necessarily in that order...

I'm glad you asked. First of all, you sited no reference in your initial comment, therefore it was clearly your OPINION. Even after siting a reference, it still doesn't make it a FACT. It is your opinion, and TV Guide's opinion. Here are the opinions of several other sites:

Seinfeld is #3 at Entertainment Weekly's top 100 from 1983 to 2008:
http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,2020...207339,00.html

Empire Magazine puts it at #11:
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/36195

Seinfeld is #2 here: http://www.the-top-tens.com/lists/th...f-all-time.asp

I found many more, but I won't bother to list them all. You are stating an OPINION, so stop trying to make yourself look like you know what you're talking about. You don't KNOW anything. You are giving an OPINION. Period.

Here is the only true FACT that can be stated. In terms of RATINGS, Seinfeld's finale ranks only #69 on the list of top 100 rated television shows since the Nielsen ratings started. I know many of them are sports and mini-series, but MASH is easily #1, and Dallas #2, and Cheers #22. Seinfeld is far away at #69!

So before you start a war you can't win, keep your OPINIONS to yourself...

Re: Seinfeld Scene It $10 at Walmart (YMMV)

I should note that I agree OmahaStar's comment was uncalled for, however I also believe your statement to me ("Then why comment?") was equally uncalled for. You made a statement as if it were a fact, and it clearly is not. You gave your opinion, and I had the right to give my opinion. If you had only posted the TV Guide list, without trying to talk shit like you did, I wouldn't have said anything. But your comment pissed me off, so that's why I felt the need to cite evidence...

I think it's funny that you got so worked up about it. That made my day.

Here I thought the 8 replies would be "Thanks, OP!" or something to that effect. Figures.

joke of course

I got this for Amazon for $5 and haven't opened it yet. Figured it will be fun in a group, but haven't had a group of friends over for awhile now.

So, for the realization that I'm lonely and wasted money, screw you OP!

I just noticed my still-sealed Seinfeld Monopoly game on the shelf. Think that was $5 as well last year.

I missed out on the Scene It at Amazon but scored the Monopoly. I think that's it for Seinfeld based games.
