I signed up a month ago. Then realized there is no prime shipping for people in Hawaii. So I went into my account ant said not to renew. Guess what get my CC statement yesterday and last item on my CC is a $79 charge from Amazon.com for Prime shipping. Had to call them yesterday to get a credit back on my CC.

finally everything was processed and i am good to go thru April (was using an old CC by mistake). i did a lot during the 1-month last month and hope to get some good stuff the next 3. nice savings, even though Free Super Saver doesn't take more than 3 days for me.

I didn't have that button on the item page when it worked for me. I just added it to my cart normally, proceeded to checkout like I always do, then on the last page I made sure that the 2-day shipping method was selected, and the offer for 3 months of Prime was listed on that page where you could start it.

I'd try that and the logging out then going to the item page trick.

My 1 month Prime trial ended in late December (I started it a week before Black Friday where this was very useful for all the Lightning deals), but I'm worried if I get a 3 month trial now (when there are only a few items here and there I want) that when I really need it during Black Friday week I won't be able to get another Prime trial because I will have already used a free trial within 1 year. Do I dare risk it now? Don't they limit you to 1 per year (normally)?

I don't know what the limit is, but people were able to use this trial immediately after a different trial ran out during the same calendar year. Also, there's no guarantee that this offer (or any prime offer really) will be available in November.

Want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to the OP!! My previous Prime membership ended right after the holidays and I was hoping to re-new. For those of you whose prior free trials ended recently...keep trying. I had to wait about 2 weeks before it would let me back in...but now I am PRIME till April 26!!

True (about no guarantee that Prime will be available in November). So people did 1 month trials and went straight to a 3 month trial, but has anyone had 2 consecutive (i.e. less than 12 months apart) trials of the same time period (1 month or 3 months)?

I guess my real question is to confirm that there aren't any official "limit 1 Prime free trial per year" rules that anybody knows of?

If not, then I guess I might as well take this 3 month trial (even though I'll rarely use it) and just hope for the best in November. I could totally see Amazon planning this and figuring they'd get people hooked last November with Prime and the Lightning deals and then this November not offering free trials thinking everyone will then pay $79. The problem with that (for me) is that having to pay $79 for a Prime membership just for Black Friday week (or probably almost as much if I were to pay for shipping on each order not being able to meet the $25 free shipping minimum) would pretty much cancel out all the savings from the Lightning deals. So I'd probably end up skipping the whole Black Friday/Lightning deal thing unless $25 worth of stuff I wanted just happened to be available simultaneously.
