Re: Quizno's One Million FREE Sub Giveaway

well, got mine on Saturday. mine was about 5.5"-6" long.

no hassle with the coupon at all, other than the 1 discount per customer rule. they did check ID, and they entered that long code.

I didn't say that I would do that.

After reading some of the people here I half expected to not get the freebie
myself so I really wouldn't have been mad.

Well that would be dumb. Especially since this was corporate Quiznos that distributed the coupon, typically there is a stipulation that says, "At particpating locations only." IF you had gotten any more mad than you already did over a free sandwich, you would have only made yourself look completely insane. Obviously free sandwiches don't entice you into buying a product...So what does it really take for you to invest in something great?

I feel Quiznos prices are a bit expensive, but honestly, the sandwiches are tasty. I've been consuming them for the last five years. Delicious.

What would be stupid, dumping the soda? I did say i wouldn't have done that.
also I never said i was mad, just surprised at the size of the
sandwich and amazed people pay $5 for that tiny thing.

I like quiznos, but i never buy the tiny sandwich, we usually get a much bigger one.

Re: Quizno's One Million FREE Sub Giveaway

Some people are only that hungry though, and that's where Quizno's makes a buck or two. Some people also want soup and chips with their small sandwich, yet another reason for its tiny size. But I agree, I wouldn't pay for something that small either. Sorry to come off as a jerk.

Re: Quizno's One Million FREE Sub Giveaway

If you start getting a soup and chips and then a drink on top of the small $5 sandwich, it really starts to add up. I got addicted to Quizno's for a while there, and it was costing me almost $10 each time I went in, and that ended very quickly.

I've never been able to understand why some of their sandwiches are so small either, but hey, I do admit that they seem to be of a higher quality than most other type places most of the time.

Re: Quizno's One Million FREE Sub Giveaway

I'm all about the Tuscan Turkey. I worked next to one for five years. I definetly ate there often. For a long time I ate their sammies, the soup in the bread bowls, everything. They even had shakes for a brief period.

Got my free meatball sammich on Saturday.

I also had a coupon for a free gourmet burrito from Chipolte - so I was eatin' good, in the neighborhood this weekend...urp!

Re: Quizno's One Million FREE Sub Giveaway

My Quiznos was not accepting this. I went across the street and ordered a $5 sub from a deli. I think I won out on that deal.

Re: Quizno's One Million FREE Sub Giveaway

Today, I went to the Quiznos I used my coupon at last week for lunch and they now had a sign up saying they do not accept the coupon. Guess I got in early enough.

I used two last night for the wife and I. We ended up getting bigger subs and we got a credit for the difference. Thanks again OP.

Re: Quizno's One Million FREE Sub Giveaway

reading this thread makes me think this whole promotion backfired on quiznos...they probably lost more customers than gained.

Re: Quizno's One Million FREE Sub Giveaway

Went to a Quizno's, where 2 Indian couple were running the shop. I bought a Steak sandwhich and tried using the coupon for the tiny Freebie. Then the guy tells me "this coupon had been used". How could that be this is my first time to use it and don't you, keep the coupon. Owner does not respond. Still tries to enter the coupon number. Now he tells me and at the same time shows me a pile of used coupon. We get a lot of customers using this coupon lately. Makes me sound like I was using a used coupon or a coupon scammer. I got pissed and left the store. I ain't wasting my time. And did not have to purchase the Large sandwhich for $7 and change. Probably wasted 15 mins. or more of my time.

I didn't have any problems, but I still have no desire to ever eat at Quizno's again...

Re: Quizno's One Million FREE Sub Giveaway

No problem getting my sub. I love Quizno's and the coupon led me to find a local store that I would have never chanced upon, so win for that store.

Doesn't corporate fully reimburse the store for coupons like this?
