It took me less than 10 minutes to read what I wanted to in the last issue of Entertainment Weekly.

Hanging Lady: Do you have anything light?
Elaine Dickinson: How about this leaflet, "Famous Jewish Sports Legends?"

Pretty soon the title of this thread will have to be changed to "Free Leaflets (Updated Daily) :)

Semi-related to this thread...

Vibe magazine, the urban glossy founded in 1992 by legendary producer Quincy Jones, announced on Tuesday (June 30) that the publication is folding and will no longer produce print issues or publish its Web site, Vibe.com.

With the closing of the title, effective immediately, there now remains no large circulation print publication dedicated to covering hip-hop, R&B and fashion on a mainstream level.

My sub for Vibe was good until 2015 thanks to this thread, lol. Another one bites the dust.

Yea I still have a hard time believing that. But if you think about it, years ago that magazine was the main source of news in the hip hop world. Now you've got everything online, how could they compete? They didn't have well known columnists that people could admire and follow. The columns were good, but not earth shattering. Usually by the time their printed stories came out, they were late because of the internet. Oh well...

I thought it was just me. Time is rather skinny. South Beach diet? They need to make the price for ads way lower. Get some smaller businesses in there, that will help!

Newsweek has completely changed their "formula" as well - going for longer essays and stories. I don't like the change at all. If I actually paid for the subscription, I'd be asking for a refund.

I couldn't agree more about the good riddance part. However, I always felt compelled to look through it. Didn't seem to target my demographic much anymore. ;)

Yes, and by that point it will be a book jacket only!

Giant used to be my favorite of the Maxim-Wannabe's. When they switched formats I was surprised (to say the least) that some idiot thought that the people reading it before would want to read it now. That's like someone buying the Hummer name, and then selling Hummer econobox cars (actually, that just might happen).

Whoever Giant is (was), they would have been better off starting their little magazine from scratch - it still would have failed, but at least it wouldn't have tarnished the original.
