While I don't disagree with you, that rumor about EGM has been floating around for a very long time now.

Actually as of a week ago (?) it's been rumored that UGO might buy 1up.com leaving EGM to wither and die.

Well, I'm sad to say that I was wrong and you were right. It was confirmed today via Gamasutra and other sources.

Almost 20 years of EGM, and now it's gone.

Yep. One of those times where you don't want to be right. January is the last issue of EGM, BTW.

Your order was placed through the Value Mags - Metoo Software agency; and they will be happy to help you with your cancellation. Their telephone number is 800 301 9619.

So, basically you will not get any money. Just switch to the digital subscription or cancel it.

Re: Free Magazines (Updated Daily)

I may be way behind here, and if I am I apologize, but I was just going through my magazines and found the card from PCMag about the switch to digital only. It included a website (http://go.pcmag.com/pcmagdigital). From there you can try for a refund and probably be denied, or you can change your subscription over to another magazine including Maxim, Blender, Discover, Motor Trend, etc.

Computer Shopper
Maximum PC
Maxim
Blender
Discover
Home Theater
Shutterbug
Motor Trend
Stereophile
Popular Mechanics
Smart Money

Any recommendations? I think I'll go with either Home Theater or Smart Money. Most of the others seem to come up with fairly regular free subscriptions.

Re: Free Magazines (Updated Daily)

I went with Maximum PC. I typically liked them better than PC Mag anyway and I haven't had a free subscription for them in a while.

Thanks for posting this here. I got that card here too but didn't know what junk email I'd given them so I thought I was out of luck with the switchover. With this address, I was able to change my subscription to another magazine. Thanks!!!
