Programmable Scrolling LED Sign - 1 Cent @ Best Buy (YMMV)

I saw this a few days ago at the store, and was back and picked one up. Told the cashier to put $5 on it and told him it was for me to goof around with and he said that I could put One Cent on it.

I searched on here, but didn't find it. They are Best Buy "Limited Addition" Roboshop Gift Cards. There is a big thread on this at FW.

It's a gift card that comes with a LED Screen you can program.

I don't think so, because they are "$X off, and they just take that off the price of the product.

How do you enter messages? Is there a keypad on the back?

3 buttons on the back, and it's pretty easy and quick to do.

I got 10 of them for 10¢ a month ago and have played around with them a bit. There's no editing ability so you need to get the message in correctly the first time or you have to re-enter it.

One became a card for a gift. Maybe the rest will too.

The ones I saw (including the one in the pic you posted) are not "Limited Addition." In fact, they don't do *any* addition at all!

Maybe you mean "Limited Edition"?

Calling it a "sign" may have been a little much.

I'm going to program one that says, "alarm activated, police enroute" and affix it next to the front (only) door. I wonder how long the batteries will last?
