Buy the textbooks from the Marketplace, much cheaper.

Several years ago, Amazon regularly had discount codes floating around - but that was several years ago, and I haven't seen one for quite a while now.

Search for the book you want, then look over to the right. There should be something saying "Buy it used for $x.xx"

Click there and you can see the used prices. Keep in mind that you will pay shipping per book by doing that, so you won't be able to combine for free shipping.

The only code I know of is TBFALLO7. That gets you free 2day shipping when you buy $200 worth

The information from majorjoe23 is correct, but it should be added that these products are not being purchased directly from Amazon, but from individual sellers. You can check their history and feedback before making a purchase.

Also, check out www.half.com. I usually get most of mine used through there.

I got something with my amazon visa bill today that says
1) find textbooks at www.amazon.com/textbooks and add books sold by amazon to cart
2) proceed to checkout and enter promotional code TBVISA07 and select amazon visa card as payment method
3) on final checkout, you will see an additional 10% discount (up to $20)
4) place order on or before 10/07/2007
