Harry Potter 7...best B&M deal?
Anyone have the inside scoop on what B&M will be offering the best deal on it? I don't want to wait for the mailman to deliver from Amazon...hope to get it read that weekend!

If you do standard shipping from Amazon it should be delivered on the release day. I think it worked out to be about $21 total.
I'm sure there are better deals out there but it was worth it to not have to brave the bookstore.

If you're a B&N Member, they've got it for $18.89. Borders has it as a pre-order hold for $20.99 For mailorder, I think Amazon's got the best deal, and as already mentioned, it's free if you don't get it on release day.

I'm doing Amazon, just like I did for the last two books. Probably not the absolute cheapest, but it's nice to get it on release day & not have to even bother hitting a store that day.

My coworker has Amazon Prime. He placed an order using my credit card, billing address, and shipping address. $17.99 release day shipped. Can't beat that price. I just hope the mail comes early.

I broke down and ordered it through amazon, with the $5 GC and the chance that they might miss release date (and I'd get it free) I thought it was worth the gamble.

Has anyone thought to use the Bookfinder search engine? HP7 is right there on the front page.

Least expensive price shown, with s/h, is Amazon at 21.48. Of course, B&M prices can be all over the place, what with local coupons and "Buy a puppy, get a free book" deals at the Springfield Petco, but for online prices, I've found that Bookfinder does a bang-up job.

Meijer had the lowest price on the last book that I can remember. I have not heard what their price will be on release day for Book 7, but they also have the following offer. It would be a good deal, if you also need to get some groceries while you are out.

My amazon order did not specify UPS or USPS. On the website under help it states that they are shipping both UPS and USPS. And with USPS it may be with the regular mail delivery, or a special later one.
It should also be noted that the free guarantee does not apply if the carrier tried to make delivery and nobody was home to accept it.

I don't think it's going to come in the regular mail this time, it sounds like Amazon has made special deals with the USPS and UPS to have people out delivering just this book.
