Target made a mistake. Someone found the loophole, and several people took advantage of it. Others got stonewalled by the Fellowship of the Redshirts, though technically the coupons should have been honored. It's a fascinating story, but hardly worth the kind of vitriol and anti-capitalist attitude that the post conveys, IMO.

Funny, you'd think that's exactly the kind of "customer" Target would want to keep....

I can respect some people's feeling this was a shady "deal" (even though I disagree with that opinion). But hey, I'm sure plenty of people in the world feel that taking advantange of ANY misprice is wrong. And where would the bargains/hot deals thread be without misprices, coupons, and the like?
So why don't we leave it at that... everyone's opinions are going to differ. Otherwise, it's a slippery slope... for example, should someone chastise others for buying those 4 DVDs that DDD had priced at $0.50 during the past sale? Or how is this any different that seeing a Lowes CSR make a mistae and double a Home Depot coupon without saying anything? Hopefully you see my point.
This thread should probably be closed...
