Anyone have these speakers? thoughts and/or opinions? My budget is under 1000, I was currently seduced by the Onkyo HT-S680. These paradigms are making me think twice. there is a place where I live that sells the paradigm brand, I plan to make a trip down there next week.

I always recommend going with a speaker company for speakers. Onkyo makes great components and receivers, but that's their bread and butter. Their speakers are decent, but paradigms are excellent.

I can't say enough about my Paradigm speakers. Granted I have went with higher models than the Cinemas, but I have loved everything I've listened to from Paradigm. I've actually been considering Cinemas for our living room - we got an LCD TV, and still don't have it hooked up to a receiver at all. Just not a huge priority for us right now in that room.

Give the Paradigms a listen - I'm sure you'll be impressed!
