I just got a new DELL system. Hooked it up today. I went with the 19" Ultrasharp as per Phammy's suggestion. This sure blows away my old 17" from DELL. I think it was seven years old.

First of all, thanks for the deals! Second, Dell can suk my d**k.
I checked the deal out online for the 20" beauty. Everything looked good. Later , when I didnt have a computer handy, I called them and gave the coupons. Everything in order the indian CSR said $389 and I told him to make sure to send the invoice to my email...he didnt. So I called today for the invoice. The invoice said a price much higher than $389. So tax, fine, but I did the math and they only gave me to standard 30% off instead of 40%. This is a huge difference to me, especially when a multinational corporation is trying to take advantage of people. So I called...
The first CSR kept saying how it was 30%, 30%, 30% and I kept saying how I had a coupon, he just wasn't hearing me. Eventually i got frustrated and angry and asked for the supervisor.
The supervisor told me that "NO SUCH COUPON HAS EVER EXISTED!" And that there was one for 30%, but not 40% and even if there was one for 40% i would be higher than $389. So not only was he calling me a liar over and over again by saying there was no such coupon, but he was questioning my math and the dell.com site math! Not to mention humiliating me and treating me like dirt until I finally asked for his supervisor!
-he wasn't there-
At this point I was so raving mad i canceled the order. Trying to talk to those guys is a difficult task, very repetative and if it isn't on the little "how to" sheet in front of them, they dont know what to do.
But I got the corporate fax number (because, apparently, they dont have a phone number). I am writing corporate a letter telling them how dissapointed I am but I still want the monitor for the price i recieved when I ordered it, if not I will never do business with them again, not me, not the office i work for, not my friends, etc. Would anybody be willing to back me up? I know some of you got the deal!-So how can they say it never existed?
Sorry for the long post, I am still fuming.
Thanks.

Yeah, thanks for the soothing words. I just want to make them pay! They treated me like an idiot who was trying to steal a monitor instead of paying the money they agreed to. Deep Breath. outsourcing is the devil.
