Good deal on wireless controllers (Xbox/Ps2)

You can go to www.surpluscomputers.com

they're selling some refurb wireless Logitech controllers for both Ps2 and Xbox..believe the Xbox are going for $20 or so, and the Ps2 is going for about $17. I picked up a double pack of Ps2 for $34.68 shipped.

I can't speak to the quality of the repackaged aspect of the controllers but in regards to the Xbox controller model 963334-0403, it is the best out there! Its about the size of a normal Xbox Controller-S, just a bit smaller and runs on 2 AA batteries. The batteries do truly last us about 40 to 50 hours! Also, there doesn't appear to be any problems with lag time between the controller and what happens on-screen. We have used this controller exclusively for all of the Xbox games we have and it has been awesome to get away from the cords!

BTW, they are listed as being NEW but possbily scratched or scuffed due to some damage to the original boxes as well as the vendor having scratched off the serial numbers...should be in fine working order however.

I just got a PS2 one for father's day and I'm kicking myself for not getting one when they came out.

My question is how reputable is this site. I always worry about sites that sell a little of everything except amazon. As to the controllers these are not only the best wireless, but the best controllers period.

Ordered on the 6th, shipped on the 8th, received on the 9th. 2 PS2 controllers as advertised.

I have to agree with Spicolli, this is the best PS2 controller I've ever played with... and it's wireless.

haha, glad i could contribute something good. This is site does LOOK a little iffy, but, they're basically just a wholesale type store. They have fairly decent shipping and everything though. I've dealt w/ them only a few times, but good all the way around.

anyone know if you can get a replacement cover for the thumbpad?
the little rubber cover on the left thumbpad of my wireless controller split and about to come off.

NASCAR players beware!!!

I have a logitech wireless controller and it works great, battery life is superb, etc, etc. I do have one game, NASCAR Thunder, for the PS2 where there is a difference running the wireless vs. wired controllers. I couldn't figure out why I was having so much trouble driving with the wireless. Just for kicks, I switched to the wired and it was a world of difference. It's not that there was a huge lag with the wireless, but I guess when you're running around the corner at Daytona going 140mph, a slight lag makes a big difference. It's the only game I play where I switch and use the wired controller.

Just thought some people might want to know this....

I love my PS2 controllers, and paid $40 EACH for them. Well worth it. My 5 year old jumps around so much when he's playing, I couldn't live without them. Not only that, I sit 12 feet from the RPTV, so running cords would be a pain!

Don't know about the quality (I have Xbox myself), but we just marked down the Madkatz (sp?) 2.4 wireless PS2 controllers from $49.99 to $19.99. Check your local Blockbuster.

(No, I don't condone shopping there, I just try to collect my paycheck for the time being.)

Nice deal. I've been looking for a good one on an Xbox controller since I like my wireless PS2 Logitech so much.

Thanks!

Costco has a 2 pack of pelican controllers for sale. The xbox ones were $30 and the ps2 were $35.

I bought ones for the xbox and they work great.
