Still, my krispy kreme gives out free samples every day too. It is a relatively new store, though. I take it that will end eventually, and we'll have to hold out for these "special" days?

Nope, it doesn't end. There are Krisy Kremes near my parents' house which have been there for a couple years, and whenever you go in they come from behind the counter and give you free doughnuts. If I'm not hungry I just take the free one and buy something to drink (which is probably where they get you)...

They always give free samples, but those are only the glazed donuts.

This free donut day says it's a donut of your choice.

The free sample is usually one of the normal glazed doughnuts, while this promotion says a doughnut of your choice.

Beyond that, not every Krispy Kreme hands out those samples. I remember being in Atlanta a few years ago and went to a Krispy Kreme that was basically like a regular doughnut shop, as opposed to the ones in California and elsewhere that let you watch the process of making the doughnuts as they go through the machine.

The Original Krispy Kreme in Atlanta...Downtown Atlanta allows you to watch them be made and they hand out samples as well.

The sample that they give out just about anyday is the original glazed doughnut fresh from the machine. This June 3rd sample is any doughnut of your choice, including one of those stuffed doughnuts with chocolate icing.

I was about to post this deal!

Sadly I won't be anywhere near our store. I've heard the place is hurting too. Why they picked a location 12 minutes off the highway I'll never figure out.

Too bad I'm on a diet and don't feel it's worth it to screw up my progress. Otherwise, I'd be all over this. Loves me some Krispy Kremes.

I think the difference here is, normally when they give you one in line, its just the plain glazed one. However, here it says the donut of your choice. However, in general, some of their more fancy ones are just kinda blah, imho. Well, the regular glazed with chocolate and sprinkles is pretty good with milk.

But really, they're not "all that".
