Even the RiDATA? I haven't bought them yet, but I found a 25-pack for $50.

I agree about the Memorex. Nothing I burned to them has worked correctly.

RiDATA is the same media as Memorex. Both RITEK.D01 and both pretty much trash.

Verbatim, Phillips, Imation are all quality discs (all made by the same manufacturer).

I've used Dynex as well. No problems with those though.

It seems to be the new popular price: Office Max has the DL Verbatim discs on sale this week. 10 pack spindle for $19.99.

Are there any rewritable DL drives/media? For my purposes, I could get by with paying for just one RW DL disc for $10-$20 and it would be cost effective.

Online limit is one and shipping is $7.95. For mailorder the Microcenter deal is much better.

I agree about the Memorex. Nothing I burned to them has worked correctly.

i have used only MEMOREX and RIDATA , and all of them have been perfect...
i think it all depends on your DVD writer as well...

i have a NEC 3540a.... one of the fastest and best rated DVD writers on the market now...

MEMOREX DL media has been perfect for my drive...

haven't tried Verbatim yet....

:-)

You're the first person i've heard say ANYTHING good about Memorex. More often than not, they fail.

Perhaps he's using Roxio to burn the Memorex DLs and not Nero, which seems to not like Memorex DLs.

actually i only used NERO... lol

used NERO for Memorex and Ridata DL media...and worked wonders...

again..i think its all pending on the DVD writer you have....

so if anyone has the NEC 3540a or NEC 3550a, MEMOREX or RIDATA DL media will work...(in my cases...no lawsuit will be put upon me if they do not....lol)

i have my writer since May 2005 and have NO coasters......and i burn about 30-35 DL dvds since then....

I suspect that there's going to be a lot more demand for DL media as of today, prices therefore should start dropping a bit in the next couple months as demand goes up.
