I got them, too. I like the Maker's Mark glasses and swizzlesticks that were sent last Christmas better, but free is free. MM really takes care of the people on its mailing list.

Those glasses were great for a freebie! Still nothing this year for me.

Is anyone here, besides kvrdave, actually buying MM? I'm starting to feel guilty, these guys are sending out tons of promo items, most of which are going in the trash can. I watched the dvd but I'm not going to send them to anyone else. I might use the return address labels from the holiday cards, but certainly not the cards. I don't even drink hard liquor......

I wish companies that I really liked would adopt the same aggressive marketing. I'd be a great ambassador for Guiness or x-box.

As you may have noticed in an e-mail they sent, Maker's Mark distillery was featured on an episode of "Good Eats" called "The School of Hard Nogs" (about making eggnog, with bourbon) this week. It will air again:

I am an ambassador, and actually drink Maker's Mark, but never got the DVDs. Would someone be willing to send me one if I paypaled them the shipping? Thanks in advance.

I rarely drink, and have never really drank whiskey. So who knows how long the bottle will last, probably forever. But I felt I should give it a try
if nothing else, the wax topped bottle looks cool and will make a decent bottle for my homemade wine

Don't feel bad if you didn't get the DVD's. There's only 2 things on the DVD, one about 7 minutes and the other less than 1 minute if I remember right. I gave mine to friends or I would have thrown them in the trash instead.
