I own a set from screaming deals through an ebay auction (500 chips in the black case)
cost me about 120$ cdn... only problem was i didn't get my dice, but it wasn't a big deal..
My brother in law bought the Silvercase model from them, and his chips were stolen at the customs... a week after notifying screaming deals, they sent him new chips...

That's about what I paid for mine ~3 months ago
I love them! Of my 4 poker chip sets, they are my favorite
It was a 600 chip set in an aluminum case, no dice or cards though.
My 9g chip set just came from eCasinoDeals yesterday, and they are awesome! They feel great, sound great, and taste great :P I am going to write up a review on my website sometime this weekend of all my chipsets and KEM cards.
I also got a set of KEM cards from them and they are by far the nicest playing cards I have ever used! They dont stay bent or folded, and you can wash them if they get sticky! I highly recommend picking up a deck if you play cards on a regular basis!

Did anyone have trouble with the Pacific Poker deposit bonus?
My deposit qualified for a $100.00 bonus; yet, I only received $50.00.
I e-mailed customer support twice but haven't had a response yet.
I don't know if I'm reading the promotion incorrectly or what. I've read every link dealing with the deposit bonus and bonus policy and I'm pretty sure I qualified.
Just wondering if anyone else had any trouble.

Eating, drinking, and playing cards for a few hours a night, several nights a week usually kills a normal deck of cards in about 2 weeks. One deck was so sticky that you could pick the whole thing up by the top ~10 cards! Quite nasty. I've heard one deck of KEM will last for 2+ years of regular use, and I now have 6 decks

Hey Trigger, not sure why you would buy the set above for $55 after shipping when you could go to one of the referring websites (I prefer ecasinodeals, but I have also used pokersourceonline) and by depositing $100 (plus whatever bonus the sites have) you can get the set for free for playing 150-250 hands... Worse case scenario, you paid an extra $45 for the set, but judging from my experience, highly unlikely you will lose all your money. From the two deals I've completed thus far, I've already cleared $215 profit and two chip sets (one identical to the one you've listed above, the other a 500 piece chipset, much better for the larger games that I prefer).
Just my $.02...

Back off, guys. I agree that the comp sites are the way to go, but some people just won't touch Internet gambling. If he wants to pay for his set, that's his choice. It's good for the economy.

I won't touch internet gambling. I think the deal was pretty decent for that set and it's just for fun with my friends. Basically, I got it to replace an old set my father had when he was a kid and I ended up with. It had like 50 chips that were all lightweight plastic in white red and blue in a leather bound cardboard box case with a drawer that you could stick a deck of cards in.

Internet gambling can be.... quite addictive. So I completely understand your distaste for it. I have found myself more addicted to getting the comps (I've always been a sucker for cheap/free stuff, probably why I've been frequenting this site for 4+ years) than actually playing poker online. But the real fun is playing the games with my friends at home using the chips that I've gotten, which can be done just as well by buying the chips.
I've got one comp left to go (KEM cards and an automatic shuffler), then I'm going to swear off the internet gambling for a while and stick to a cheaper addiction, my XBOX. =)

I bought a 600 chip set off ebay ~4 months ago for like $90 shipped. Then I found out about PSO and did the promo for the free chips and not only did I make money, I got the chips for free! All the free stuff I've gotten:300 11.5g Royal Suited chip set
500 9g blank clay chip set
500 11.5g Dice chip set
Poker/blackjack table top
World Poker Tour DVD set
2 $50 amazon.com gift certificates
*6* decks of KEM cards
plus I am up about $65 now

There is no way I'll ever be able to use all this stuff as much as I would like, but it's free plus I make money doing the promos!
I have a list of about 3 promos I want to do as soon as my EFT clears, and there is a strong possibility I'll be able to get the 3 in 1 awesome poker table from eCasinoDeals very soon!

Something to note on the Costco chips....
I bought my set at Costco about 4 months ago. My friend bought the same set at Costco about 3 weeks ago. Same price, same box, same case, 500 chips, dice, and 2 decks of cards
But the chips are waaaaay different. My chips are more clay-like. They have a velvety feel to them and don't make much noise. His chips are more plastic-like. They are more smooth and sound more like loose change.
I guess cost cutting has kicked in.

I mainly play online, tournaments at local bars or casinos. I am fixing to start hosting a weekly home game, and I am trying to figure out how many chips I would need. I am looking at having 6-10 people each week including myself. I would like to have seven denominations (25,50,100,500,1000,2000 and 5000) so how many chips would I need? Could I get by with a 1000 chip set? I am looking at the sets at vegassupplies. I plan to buy this first set for my main game because it is taking me longer than I thought for the comp sets.
