So tell me. I have a bunch of kids toys and am looking for a bunch of batteries of course. What would be my best bet as far as a company to order online here?

Can I used the fast charger from Olympus with other batteries. The Olympus batteries are rated 1700mah.

I see that BJ's has a set of 6 Panasonic NiMH at 1600mah for $12.99. They recommend using their own recharger which is a 5 hour charger.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

BJ's $12.99/6 Panasonic 1600 mAh batters is a great buy. Use any charger you want -- I use both a Maha and a Ansmann charger with them without problems.

My local Seattle Sam's Club has the NiMH back in stock. EverReady 1700 mAH 8-pak plus compact charger for $19.95. The prongs on the charger fold toward the body so that it doesn't snag on anything if you travel with it.

Please keep on getting those membership feedback forms when you visit Sam's Club and request that rechargeable batteries be carried by Sam's Club. They have a postage paid label on one side, so it is not a problem to send one off. You can usually find them in the literature stand that is usually near the membership services desk.

Anyone know the best online price for the Maha charger? I'm having no luck with MySimon or PriceGrabber in terms of finding it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone discovered a good source for lithium ion battereis, specifically, batteries for the Canon Powershot G2? Someone who ships quick.

Best Buy wants $70 for one.

BTW, is there such a thing as a smart charger that charges nicad, nimh, and lithium ion, all in one charger?

I don't know what kind of batteries the Powershot uses, but when I ordered camcorder batteries, www.sabahoceanic.com had THE best prices hands down.

[added info]: A quick glance didn't show me the G2, but they do have this:
"For Canon NB-5H (PowerShot A50)
NiMH, 6V. 650mAh
$37.60 for 2 batteries"

Seem like a good price? You can always e-mail them to find out if they've got the battery you need. When I bought mine, I had to search a bit on the site to locate the right one.

Yes, I believe so.

Updated Batteryspace.com with the 5% off discount code after my satisfactory order. This vendor is the online presence of a major mainland China battery manufacturer. It has the lowest prices on both batteries and smart chargers.

Try www.zbattery.com. You can also reach them by going to yahoo.shopping.com first. Zbattery.com is an excellent retailer with great customer service. So far I have bought 2 Maha chargers and a number of batteries from them. They have a number of Maha charger/battery packages.

I bought POWEREX (premium Maha) rechargeables 2 years ago. After using them for about 20 uses, I left them uncharged for 1 year. Now, they're weak and they barely hold any charge. Is this normal?

I refreshed the batteries 2x this week (the refresh button on the Maha charger to drain and fully charge) and still weak ...

I ended up getting this charger combo using the discount code but unfortunately they included sales tax for a total of $30.60

Still a good deal and it appears to be one of their sleekest chargers and has a dual voltage converter which I'll use when travelling to Europe. It also has a fold away plug so it should pack relatively easy. I'll post a review when I get it.
